Winter Wedding in Florence At the St. Regis

Winter is wonderful and magical but…

As a destination wedding photographer, capturing the magic of a couple’s special day is my top priority. When I was tasked with shooting the wedding of the year in practically complete darkness, I knew I needed to bring my own personal touch of magic to the bride and groom.

When my friend and wedding planner Silvia contacted me about the wedding, I was blown away. Not only was the groom one of my favorite footballers ever, but the bride was one of the sweetest girls on earth. The location and outfits were like something out of a fairy tale, making it the perfect opportunity to create a stunning set of images.

Inspired by the Christmas atmosphere and the romantic street lamps illuminating the Florentine Lungarni, I let my emotions guide me to create images that would capture the couple’s love in a unique and unforgettable way. Even in challenging lighting conditions, my experience as a destination wedding photographer enabled me to deliver exceptional results that Silvia and her clients were thrilled with.

I’m particularly grateful to this couple, as the groom (Gianluca Mancini) is an important football player for Rome and a member of the Italian national team. As a VIP person, I’m especially appreciative of their permission to use the photos from their wedding for promotional purposes.

I would also like to thank SONY for all the help in providing everything I needed to make this wedding so memorable. There is no doubt in my mind that I was the very first photographer in the world to be given the opportunity to shoot a wedding using the new A9II.
