FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do I Need a Wedding Planner to Elope?

It’s not mandatory, but it largely depends on your goals. From my perspective, if you want to focus purely on the emotional aspect of your elopement, having someone on-site to coordinate and help bring the magic to life is highly recommended. I have a list of trusted Wedding Planners (WPs) I love to collaborate with. If you’d like more information, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Can We Elope Just as a Couple?

Absolutely. Currently, elopements are typically considered to involve up to 6/8 people, beyond which it transitions into the realm of an intimate wedding. Personally, I’ve never been too concerned with these distinctions, but for those researching on social platforms like Pinterest, elopements are generally defined as involving up to 6/8 people, ideally just the couple and their witnesses.
What Do I Need to Elope?
At the very least, you’ll need a photographer, a videographer, a venue or location, the attire, and a bucketful of love and emotions to share.

Is Eloping Less Expensive?

Eloping can significantly reduce the compromises required for events with more than 50 people, such as having a Plan B for rain, guest hospitality, and the entire day’s schedule. Elopements offer the flexibility to be unfettered by time constraints and to select unique and picturesque locations that would be impossible for a traditional wedding. All of this, of course, comes with a significant optimization of the budget.

Recommendations: Due to its nature, an elopement is a blank canvas on which you can design and build everything you wish. Pay attention to the timing; the best times for photography and video are early in the morning, just after dawn, and in the evening, close to sunset when the sunlight’s hues are warm and soft. Coordinate well with your photographer to ensure you get the most out of your photo shoot.
